Service: The client is the expert in how they experience their social, physical and economic environments. Mustardseed’s services are intended to enhance the client’s capacity to create and sustain community well-being within the context of their resources.
Empathy: Is defined as identification with, and an understanding of another's situation, feelings, and motives. It is our approach to community work.
*Ubuntu is an African term referring to the effect of community and has been expressed as: Ubuntu is an age-old African term for humaneness - for caring, sharing and being in harmony with all of creation.
